Role
SUMMARY
The Domestic and International Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the movement of goods, both domestically and internationally, to ensure that shipments are delivered in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This role requires coordination across multiple internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and logistics partners, to ensure compliance with global shipping regulations and company policies. The individual in this position will work to optimize logistics processes, maintain accurate documentation, and facilitate the smooth transit of goods, ensuring the company meets its shipping deadlines and customer expectations while adhering to all required legal and regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the entire process of international and domestic shipments, from origin to destination, including transportation, scheduling pickups, deliveries, customs clearance, and delivery.
- Preparing and reviewing shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with domestic, international trade regulations, and customs requirements.
- Maintains accurate export records as required by local country law.
- Coordinates domestic, export, and import bookings while maintaining clear communication with clients, suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
- Identifying and resolving any logistical challenges or delays that may arise during the shipping process, such as customs issues, transportation problems, or documentation errors.
- Use ERP system to release sales orders to various warehouses to be processed and shipped to the end customer.
- Provides guidance and assistance to other departments/divisions within the local and Int’l organization, working closely with shipping, purchasing, sales and project management as well as global divisions.
- Processing/Filing claims and escalation of freight/warehouse defects for domestic and Int’l shipments that include freight forwarders, small package, LTL and 3PL warehousing.
- Tracking shipments, providing updates to relevant parties, and maintaining accurate records of all logistics activities.
- Optimizing logistics operations to minimize costs while maintaining efficiency and timely delivery.
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers.
- Creates/updates department processes to ensure effective workflow within the department.
- Performs other related duties as applicable.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Extensive knowledge of standard import/export concepts, practices, procedures, and laws.
- Understanding of fundamental supply chain obstacles and solutions.
- Proven history of applied transportation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to understand and gain comprehensive knowledge of Flow product lines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Strong level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- Ability to work independently on projects and function effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient with computers utilizing Microsoft based programs.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 -years’ experience as an import/export logistics coordinator.
- Minimum 1-year experience with ERP system
- Minimum 1-year 3PL

- Base Compensation: $30-$35 per hour, depending on experience
