DescriptionReporting to the District Operations Manager and Replenishment Manager, the District Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in managing inventory operations across multiple store locations. This position requires foundational knowledge of inventory procedures and tools, typically gained through work experience and may be supported by vocational or technical education. The successful candidate will ensure efficient inventory flow, compliance, and coordination to support business needs across the district.
This position is based out of Halifax but requires travel to all locations within the Halifax Regional Municipality and Southern Nova Scotia.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform tasks related to inventory and materials management, including:
- Materials Requirements Planning
- Purchasing and Procurement
- Inventory Planning and Control
- Warehousing, Distribution, and Transportation
- Partner with the District Manager, District Sales Manager, and Store Management to address and resolve inventory concerns.
- Coordinate district-wide stock rebalancing to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Manage purchase orders and special-order items with accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor store compliance with key inventory metrics, including:
- Hole counts
- Contractor SKUs
- Top 100 SKUs

- Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a strong asset.
- Willing and able to travel within the district as required.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.
