BURNCO is hiring a Dispatcher/Batcher for our Saskatoon Ready Mix Division. This
is a full-time hourly position in an extremely high paced environment that
requires some weekend shifts and overtime hours.

Key Responsibilities
* Send tickets to batch plants to load trucks
* Aid drivers in locating job sites with a general knowledge of Saskatoon &
area
* Contact customers when concrete delivery is not on schedule
* Answer customer phone calls for order placement and revisions
* Ensures the timely resolution of customer inquiries, concerns, and problems
* Work closely with sales representatives, batchers, quality assurance and
mechanics
* Provide quotes and process daily COD transactions and payments
* Prepare driver schedule for an average of 15 trucks from plant to maximize
time efficiently and effectively
* Perform order taking, dispatching, and batching—or be willing to learn these
functions
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or Post-Secondary Degree
* Dispatching experience in the concrete or related industry would be preferred
* Considerable knowledge of concrete technology, mixes and value-added products
* Ability to maintain a high level of confidential information regarding
proprietary mix designs and contract pricing
* General knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, Ministry of
Transport policies and regulations, company policies and procedures
* Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of strong written
and verbal customer service experiences
* Ability to handle and deal with customer complaints in a professional manner
* Strong telephone etiquette
* Self-starter and motivated with responsible work ethic
* Strong math and problem-solving skills
* Highly organized, good decision-making skills and the ability to work well in
a fast-paced environment
* Proven team player with a positive attitude and ability to establish and
maintain effective working relations with subordinate personnel, department
officials, public and private agencies, and the general public
* Ability to work under pressure with ever-changing deadlines and work
environments
* Must be willing to work flexible hours including Saturdays and overtime when
required
* Basic computer skills are required (Excel, Word, Outlook) combined with
experience navigating the internet and the technical ability to learn custom
software applications
