THIS POSITION CAN BE FILLED IN PLANO OR KILGORE, TX.

We are hiring a Director of Supply Chain to lead procurement transformation and supplier strategy in a high-reliability satcom manufacturing environment.

This role is anchored to our Kilgore manufacturing operation, with the option to be based in Plano. Candidates located in Plano should expect to maintain a consistent on-site presence in Kilgore (several days per month) to stay closely aligned with operations, supplier execution, and cross-functional teams.

You will directly influence cost structure, supplier performance, and operational readiness across a ~$100M spend portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic ownership and execution depth.

What You Will Own

Strategic Procurement Leadership

  • Define and execute procurement strategies aligned to growth, margin expansion, and supply continuity.
  • Establish governance, KPIs, and decision frameworks that connect sourcing activity to business outcomes.
  • Build organizational capability, elevating team performance and succession readiness.

Supplier Strategy & Commercial Execution

  • Develop and optimize a high-performance supplier network supporting satcom and high-compliance manufacturing requirements.
  • Lead complex negotiations (pricing, LTAs, terms & conditions) with strict adherence to DFAR/FAR requirements.
  • Implement supplier segmentation, scorecards, and performance management routines to drive measurable improvements.
  • Own supplier risk strategy, ensuring continuity in a constrained and compliance-driven supply base.

Performance, Analytics & ERP Enablement

  • Establish KPI frameworks tied to cost, supplier performance, and working capital.
  • Leverage JD Edwards (JDE) to drive forecasting alignment, procurement visibility, and decision-making rigor.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to translate procurement strategy into P&L impact.

Process Transformation & Compliance

  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and digital initiatives to modernize procurement processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements (DFAR/FAR, customer-specific mandates).
  • Optimize ERP configurations and procurement workflows to improve scalability and reporting accuracy.

Cross-Functional & Executive Leadership

  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to align sourcing strategy with production requirements in Kilgore.
  • Act as the primary supply chain interface to executive leadership and key customers.
  • Standardize best practices across sites while maintaining operational agility at the plant level.

What You Bring

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain/procurement experience, including 5+ years leading teams in manufacturing or defense environments.
  • Strong background in procurement-led environments (not purely logistics/materials).
  • Proven success in complex negotiations, supplier development, and DFAR/FAR compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and operational efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems—JD Edwards strongly preferred.
  • Track record leading transformation initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or digital enablement).
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence across all levels.
  • Able to travel between Texas locations as needed.

Why This Role

  • Direct ownership of a $100M+ supply base
  • Opportunity to shape procurement strategy in a specialized satcom manufacturing environment
  • High visibility role with executive and customer exposure
  • Balance of hands-on execution and strategic leadership
  • Based in Kilgore, where decisions directly impact manufacturing outcomes
