Establishing, implementing and upgrading NP’s existing procurement processes, including Supplier Relationship Management and Stakeholder Management
Support on development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives to drive cost savings, mitigate risks, and enhance supplier value
Support on development and execution of inventory management initiatives to drive cost optimization
Develop and Implement Co-Manufacturing strategy for existing new partners, aligned to the business needs
Managing the Procurement team (14 employees and 5 direct reports) delegating work, with trust and accountability, and optimizing the engagement and development of personnel
Carefully planning the purchasing of materials and other resources to minimize waste and obtain optimum returns on assets employed
Using appropriate budget and financial planning practices, and consistently monitoring, analyzing and addressing performance against these
Constantly striving to develop and use accurate, relevant financial information and other quantitative data for informed decision making
Preferred background:
Post secondary education with a specialization in Materials Management, Procurement, or Business Administration or equivalent combination
Minimum of 10 years of procurement experience, working in a manufacturing environment
Experience in people management
Strong understanding or exposure to the organic industry and organic supply chain environment is an asset
A demonstrated ability in key software applications
Notes:
This is a 15 month contract role based in Richmond, BC (three days a week in office)
The base salary range will be between $155,000 - $170,000
