Responsibilities:
Operations Management and Leadership
• Oversee and coordinate all logistics and industrial operations.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize productivity, quality, and operational profitability.
• Ensure compliance with contractual commitments, deadlines, and service levels established with clients.
• Coach and support Operations Managers and Supervisors in achieving business objectives.
• Participate in the launch and ramp-up of new logistics operations.
• Develop training and development plans to strengthen team capabilities.
• Foster a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Resource Management and Budget Oversight
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets.
• Identify human and material resource requirements, and allocate resources according to priorities and budgets.
• Ensure effective cost management and implement corrective measures when budget overruns or inefficiencies occur.
• Optimize the use of equipment and infrastructure to maximize return on investment and reduce operating costs.
Client Relationship Management
• Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and anticipate their needs.
• Support the onboarding of new clients by coordinating implementation processes and addressing specific operational requirements.
• Lead strategic business reviews with clients to assess satisfaction levels and adjust services as needed.
• Manage escalations and make decisions regarding major issues impacting operations.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
• Identify and implement strategies to optimize operational processes.
• Participate in the implementation and deployment of new technologies and management tools, including WMS, ERP, and automation solutions.
• Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
Safety, Compliance, and Quality
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, applicable regulations, and internal policies.
• Maintain adherence to certifications and quality standards.
• Conduct regular audits and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
What you will need to succeed
• University degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of operations management experience in a 3PL logistics environment or a similar setting, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience managing multiple sites and supervising frontline operational teams.
• Strong understanding of logistics and warehousing processes.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational change.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make strategic decisions.
• Experience in continuous improvement and performance management.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems (WMS, ERP), planning tools, and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting principles.
• Strong customer-focused mindset with a results-driven approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French to communicate with clients, participate in strategic meetings, and manage operational matters in both languages.
