Where You Will Work:
Our corporate office is located in the Denver Tech Center. Our office spans the top two floors of the building and features expansive views of the mountains and the downtown skyline.

The Director of Operations Support is responsible for leading a core function within operations support, driving execution, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across a large, multi-family portfolio. This role is accountable for building and leading high-performing teams, making operational decisions that support strategic goals, and ensuring the successful implementation of key initiatives.
The Director partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align priorities, drive collaboration, and deliver measurable business outcomes. This role plays a critical part in identifying and advancing opportunities that enhance organizational performance, efficiency, and scalability.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams through Managers and Leads
- Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Coach and develop leaders to strengthen team capability and execution
- Support organizational planning, succession development, and team growth
Operational Decision-Making & Execution
- Make operational decisions that impact team performance, program execution, and cross-functional outcomes
- Translate strategic goals into clear priorities, plans, and deliverables
- Ensure initiatives are implemented effectively and deliver intended results
- Balance competing priorities and adjust plans to meet evolving business needs
- Drive accountability for execution and outcomes across teams
Program & Initiative Leadership
- Oversee implementation of key operational initiatives and programs across the portfolio
- Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, with high quality, and aligned to business objectives
- Lead mid- to large-scale projects, ensuring successful execution and adoption
- Maintain visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies across workstreams
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional efforts to drive alignment and execution of key initiatives
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align priorities and achieve strategic goals
- Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork across functions
- Influence decision-making and ensure coordination across stakeholders
- Serve as a key escalation point for complex, cross-functional challenges
Operational Excellence & Strategic Improvement
- Ensure consistent, efficient execution of operational processes, tools, and workflows
- Identify and seize opportunities to enhance organizational performance, efficiency, and scalability
- Drive initiatives that improve workflows, systems, and operating models
- Establish and reinforce best practices across teams and functions
- Lead change management efforts tied to new processes, tools, and programs
Resource & Priority Alignment
- Align team resources, workloads, and priorities to support business objectives
- Partner with senior leadership on budget planning and resource allocation
- Ensure effective utilization of resources across teams and initiatives
- Adjust resource allocation to meet shifting priorities and operational demands
Performance Management & Business Insights
- Oversee performance metrics, reporting, and outcomes across teams and programs
- Use data and insights to inform decisions, identify opportunities, and improve results
- Monitor trends, risks, and performance gaps, taking proactive action as needed
Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
- 8–10+ years of experience in operations, real estate, consulting, or a related field
- Proven experience leading Managers and overseeing multiple teams or functions
- Demonstrated ability to make sound operational decisions aligned with strategic objectives
- Experience managing resources, budgets, and cross-functional priorities
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven track record of building high-performing teams and driving operational improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree required
AIR offers attractive total compensation packages designed to recognize and reward performance at the individual, team and company levels. We start with a competitive base salary and add bonus opportunities and benefit choices topped off with:

Expected base salary of $140,000- $150,000. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.
