DescriptionThe Director of Operations will lead facility management operations across multiple office locations within the Northern California and/or Southern California portfolio, ensuring optimal customer relations and a seamless workplace experience. This role is critical in managing P&L, implementing Integrated Facilities Solutions (IFS), and overseeing a diverse team to drive operational excellence, safety, and innovation. The Director of Operations will lead initiatives that focus on cost savings, process optimization, and continuous improvement, while championing a world-class workplace environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The role will require a strategic leader who can collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure the success and growth of ABM’s business across multiple service offerings.
Required Travel: To all sites within the portfolio on a routine basis, to align with business needs.
Pay: $165,000 - $200,000
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development:
Lead, coach, and scale high-performing teams across multiple locations, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and innovation.

Facility Management & Operations:
Oversee the management of all integrated facilities services including engineering, janitorial, workplace experience, and other client-specific needs within a multi-building campus and/or regional portfolio

Financial Performance Management:
Manage and optimize the financial performance of the account, including P&L, A/R, and work order management. Ensure the cost-effective delivery of services while meeting or exceeding client expectations.

Client & Stakeholder Relations:
Serve as a strategic partner to clients and stakeholders; lead business reviews, deliver on KPIs, and ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.

Project & Vendor Management:
Lead project management activities and oversee vendor relationships to ensure compliant, timely, and high-quality service delivery.

Workplace Experience Leadership:
Implement initiatives that elevate the workplace environment, engagement, and productivity in alignment with client goals

Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements, innovation, and best practices to optimize service delivery and operational performance.
Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in facilities management, including significant experience in managing workplace experience, integrated facilities solutions, and multi-location operations.
- 3-5 years of leading diverse teams and managing operational, financial, and client relationship outcomes.
- Experience in driving innovation, cost savings, and process improvements within a facilities management or related environment.
- In-depth understanding of P&L management, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and overseeing compliance with industry regulations.
