WyoTech is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to drive operational excellence and support initiatives across campus. This role oversees Business Systems and Information Technology to ensure systems, processes, and infrastructure continue to evolve with organizational needs, while partnering with senior leadership to plan, execute, and optimize projects that enhance efficiency and performance. This position plays a critical role in fostering collaboration, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and ensuring all operations align with institutional goals, compliance standards, and WyoTech’s commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for students, staff, and industry partners.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the Business Systems Department, ensuring that enterprise systems keep up with ever-evolving technology, processes, and business needs
  • Oversee the Information Technology Department, ensuring that enterprise IT infrastructure keeps up with evolving technology, processes, and business needs
  • Work with senior management to identify and prioritize project and system improvements
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to systems, processes, and operational effectiveness
  • Partner with department leaders to initiate projects by identifying goals, requirements, scope, deliverables, and timelines
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource allocation, schedules, and milestones
  • Create comprehensive project documentation such as process flows, use cases, and technical specifications in collaboration with business, IT, and systems leaders
  • Lead project teams, delegate tasks, and foster collaboration among stakeholders
  • Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, maintaining clear and consistent communication regarding progress, risks, and changes 
  • Track project expenses and resource allocation to ensure alignment with budgets and optimal use of resources
  • Coordinate the use of external vendors and contractors when necessary, including contract management and performance oversight
  • Monitor and report on progress and performance against milestones
  • Adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines, quality standards, and organizational expectations
  • Oversee all project phases from initiation to completion, ensuring stakeholder approval and capturing key insights for future improvement
  • Ensure deliverables meet defined quality standards and organizational requirements
  • Proactively identify and communicate opportunities to improve business processes and system integrations
  • Develop and manage departmental and project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and cost efficiency
  • Ensure systems and operational processes comply with applicable regulations, data security standards, and institutional policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

Minimum Requirements (A combination of the following experience and training, or the equivalent, would be qualifying): 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant project management experience, preferably leading enterprise or cross-functional initiatives
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
