 Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who is eager to join a growing organization and tackle diverse, technically challenging work. 


As Director Compliance and International Logistics, you will play a critical role in overseeing our Company’s international compliance risks and facilitating our global operations. MD&A’s global operations include import/export controls, classification of tooling, parts and internal documents, international work permits, and foreign investments.

The Director of International Compliance will partner with internal stakeholders to develop, oversee and implement compliance initiatives to support MD&A’s international growth and changing regulatory environment.


 Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Develop, update, and maintain Export Compliance policies and procedures ensuring compliance with Export Administration Regulations
  • Manage Company Export License Program and partner with Divisions in determining export license requirements
  • Perform regulatory internal audits on Company imports/exports to ensure compliance with the government regulations
  • Assign and Maintain Export Control Classification Numbers of MD&A equipment/technology/documents
  • Partner with Divisions on developing and implementing a streamlined process in obtaining work permits and import/export required documentation for international customer jobs, including review of compliance requirements during the customer proposal/bid process
  • Create and facilitate annual training program for employees on international work and compliance, including import/export, requirements for work permits, and importance of proper documentation
  • Maintain records of all transactions related to imports/exports, work permits, and regulatory requirements; perform annual reporting as necessary
  • Support internal compliance of trade by developing systems and autonomy
  • Up to 40% domestic travel in a given year to MD&A locations; anticipated international travel of 1 to 2 trips per year to deliver trainings and/or attend conferences
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Law or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of Trade Compliance and Logistics experience
  • Minimum of 3 years working knowledge of CFIUS regulations
  • Experience in compliance auditing and investigations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, to deliver compliance information clearly
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and employees
  • Valid US passport
  • US Person Requirement: To comply with US national security requirements mandated under CFIUS, MD&A will only consider applicants who are US Persons for this position. OR Applicant must be a US Person within the meaning of regulatory export control. A US Person is a United States Citizen or National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Lawful Temporary Resident, Refugee or Asylee.
  • Certified Export Compliance Officer certificate or Customs Broker License preferred
