Role Overview

A large, complex organization is seeking a senior-level Benefits Consultant to provide strategic and operational leadership across the full spectrum of benefits administration.

This role requires a professional capable of operating at a director-level strategic capacity, engaging directly with executive leadership while also managing operational aspects of the organization’s benefits portfolio.

The selected consultant will be expected to quickly assess the current benefits landscape, support ongoing initiatives, and manage vendor relationships with minimal ramp-up time.

Core Responsibilities

  • Presenting to senior leaders and executive stakeholders

  • Leading strategic discussions on benefits design, cost management, and vendor performance

  • Representing the benefits function in cross-functional leadership forums

This role requires an individual who can lead conversations and influence decision-making, not simply participate.

Healthcare Industry Experience (Preferred)

Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience working in:

  • Healthcare systems

Healthcare experience is valuable due to the complexity of workforce structures, regulatory environments, and benefit program administration.

Candidates must have direct experience managing complex benefits Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, including:

  • Vendor selection strategy

  • Development of evaluation frameworks

  • Cross-functional stakeholder alignment
