Job Title: Direct Materials Procurement Specialist
Job Duration: 4-6 Months

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Direct Materials Procurement Specialist to support a high-priority supply chain initiative. This supplier-facing role will focus on managing material shortages, driving supply gap closures, negotiating additional supplier capacity, and providing supply risk visibility to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage supplier commitments and material coverage across short- and long-term planning horizons.
Analyze supply coverage data and provide updates for business review meetings.
Work with Supply Planning teams to manage allocations and mitigate shortages.
Negotiate additional volumes, capacity increases, and production swaps with suppliers.
Track and communicate supply risks, recovery plans, and mitigation actions.
Perform root cause analysis on material shortages and support escalation activities.
Present supplier recovery timelines, shortage status, and procurement actions to stakeholders.
Support decisions regarding potential customer communications related to supply constraints.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Planning, or Supplier Management.
Strong experience managing supplier relationships and negotiations.
Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
Experience with shortage management, supply planning, and risk mitigation.
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, IBP, or similar planning tools preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
