Delivery Driver (Nanaimo)

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks.

Duties

• Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and storage
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Basic warehouse, yard and maintenance tasks
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations during loading and unloading processes.

Experience

• Class 3 driver with strong background in operating 5-ton trucks and clean driving record
• Proven track record of delivery across Vancouver Island
• Ability to do delivery to our lower-mainland warehouse 1-2 times per week
• Familiarity with route loading
• Knowledge of pre and post trip inspections and basic truck maintenance
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
• Proven ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on maintaining positive client relationships.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members.
• Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is advantageous.
