Delivery Driver and Warehouse Support

Job Title: Delivery Driver and Warehouse Support 

Location: Grand Rapids, MI 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Reports to: Customer Concierge Supervisor 

Supervises: N/A 

Purpose of the Job:

The purpose of this job is to process, load and deliver client materials within an agreed upon time frame. As the face of Imperial Graphics, this position will work to build strong relationships with our customers by delivering exceptional customer service.

Job Functions and Performance Standards:

• Transport and deliver product to client and vendor businesses in a safe, timely manner
• Put key clients’ inventory away in their designated storage locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility
• Adhere to all safety best practices, including safe driving procedures and proper loading or unloading techniques
• Organize and store products in the warehouse according to company standards for quality and accuracy.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment based on client requirements
• Demonstrate knowledge of international shipping requirements, including preparing packages for customs clearance, completing necessary documentation, and ensuring all materials meet regulatory standards for global shipment.
• Demonstrate strong and precise time management, ensuring tasks, deliveries, order preparation, and workflow responsibilities are completed within expected deadlines
• Prioritize delivery routes effectively, determining which deliveries should be completed first, next, and last to minimize wasted time, reduce fuel usage, and optimize daily efficiency
• Conduct physical count of warehoused product in ensure accuracy between system and physical inventory
• Take physical inventory at key client locations to ensure they maintain adequate stock and do not run out of essential products.
• Operate forklifts to move products within the warehouse 
• Build and maintain a healthy relationship with clients and vendors
• Keep vehicle clean and well maintained
• Present a professional appearance while wearing the designated Imperial Graphics uniform 
• Communicate efficiently with supervisor and teammates via phone, chat or email
• Ensure your work environment is clean, tidy and safe for you and others around you
• Provide back-up support to the Distribution and Receiving team as needed
• Serve as a knowledgeable representative of Imperial Graphics’ products and services by educating and assisting customers

Requirements:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Licenses/Certifications: 

• Driver’s License with a clean driving record 

Experience: 

• Two years’ experience driving commercially or as a delivery driver preferred
• Two years’ warehouse experience and previous forklift experience preferred 

Skills:

• Computer skills – knowledge and ability to use computerized software and systems relevant to warehousing preferred
• Knowledge of basic warehouse procedures like receiving and storing preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented
• Dependable and reliable, good time management skills 
• Ability to understand and follow direction
