DESCRIPTION
The Risk Operations, Success, & Engagement (ROSE) Business Intelligence team is looking for an experienced, self-driven, and analytical Data Engineer with expertise in AWS services and a strong aptitude for solving unstructured problems. In this role, you will work in a highly scalable, self-service designed infrastructure, owning end-to-end data engineering solutions. You should be passionate about working with large datasets, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to model multidimensional data and build the right data pipelines, process automations, and data solutions to turn hard questions into sustainable, self-serviceable answers

The right candidate will possess strong business and communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with business partners and BIEs to collaborate on building the right data solutions. They will be proficient with data engineering tools to build efficient, flexible, and scalable data models, pipelines, and infrastructure, with a desire to learn and implement new technologies and services to further the scalable, self-service model.

Key job responsibilities
As a Data Engineer on the ROSE BI team, you will bring together data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and business impact. You will take ownership of complex, end to end data solutions built on AWS, working closely with business partners, BIEs and data engineers to design, build, and scale the data foundation that powers our team's products and services. This includes owning projects that build new data pipelines, migrate existing ones, and refine current infrastructure to deliver more value for our customers.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage AWS resources including S3, EC2, Redshift, Kinesis, SQS, EMR, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, Bedrock and others.

- Drive architectural and design choices with innovation at the core, continually improving data solutions and enabling process automations and self-service capabilities that deliver impact to the business.

- Build and deliver high quality data architecture and pipelines to support BIEs and customer data needs.

- Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources.

- Actively participate in code reviews, design discussions, team planning, and operational excellence.


- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Bachelor's degree or above in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics

- Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
- Experience with AI/ML technologies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
