Customs Release Agent - CLVS

Frontier Supply Chain Solutions Inc. (Frontier) is a medium sized provider of US and Canadian Customs Services, Trade Consulting, Supply Chain Logistics, including parcel and courier delivery.

Our Winnipeg facility located in the Fort Garry Industrial Park has an opportunity for Release Agent (CLVS) to complete customer service and customs transactions for our clients. We offer a hybrid work schedule upon satisfactory demonstration of attendance, and job tasks and responsibilities. We offer free parking and is also located within a 10-minute walk from the blue line rapid transit station at 310-555 Hervo Street, R3T 3L6.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Downloading the consist and invoicing documents from various courier portals. 
• Communicating and troubleshooting with couriers as necessary.
• Verifying Importer of Record and invoice information.
• Preparing F type CAD entries, including quality control audit
• Preparing email enquiries to clients and carriers for missing information and instructions.
• Engaging customers and carriers by phone, incoming and outbound calls.
• Preparing ACI/ACE electronic manifests.
• Maintaining SOP (standard operating procedure) documents. 
• Assisting and supporting all operations teams.

Competencies & Skill sets needed:

• Prior experience in a customs brokerage firms or communication with customer brokerage firms an asset.
• Prior office administration.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication.
• Experience in working in a deadline driven work environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Above average skill in Microsoft Outlook. Inbox and folder management.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills an asset.
• Experience in a head office setting in asset.
• Previous experience in transportation industry a positive asset.
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or International Business an asset.
