The
Logistics and Customs Analyst will be responsible to provide analytical and operational support for transportation and customs activities, including shipment coordination, carrier/broker interaction, documentation validation, data maintenance in ERP/WMS/TMS, exception management, and KPI reporting. Identify trends, quantify impacts, and recommend practical corrective actions to improve service, cost, and compliance performance. This position will report to the Logistics and Customs Leader.
Responsibilities
Logistics
- Track and trace incoming freight shipments with the assigned Carrier and follow up on potential delays
- Arrange and coordinate shipments to meet Customer requests
- Prepare and submit freight claims with Carriers as required
- Plan, schedule, and report incoming daily shipments to Warehouse
- Escalate problematic shipments as required
- Provide feedback and guidance on Carrier invoicing issues
- Analyze freight spending and identify possible savings with Carriers on various transportation lanes
- Execute other logistics and transportation projects as assigned
Customs
- Ensure that Parker’s import and export entries follow Canada Border Services Agency and US Custom and Border Protection Agency compliance regulations
- Classify and maintain accurate HS Tariff classifications for all imported and exported products
- Generate, maintain, and respond to requests for CUSMA/USMCA Certification
- Provide analysis, review and reporting of the impact of Import Tariffs on Parker products within North America
- Work directly with Customs Broker Team members to resolve shipment clearance issues
- Manage the coordination and communication between Carriers, Customs Brokers and other Parker Teams to address clearance delays
- Complete monthly reports and invoicing as it pertains to the timely payment of Duties, Taxes, and Surtax Tariffs to the Canada Border Services Agency
- Ensure that Customs Brokers maintain and transmit import and export entry records for retention and audit readiness
- Maintain Customs Import Database ERP/WMS/TMS information used by Parker and Customs Brokers
- Manage and monitor the required transmissions of import commercial invoice EDI messaging to Customs Brokers
- Act as a point of contact with the Canada Border Services Agency and US Customs Border Services Agency
- Audit and review Customs Clearance entries as completed by Customs Broker
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Customs or equivalent relevant experience
- 5–7+ years of experience in transportation/logistics and customs/trade compliance
- Working knowledge of import/export compliance requirements/regulations and customs operations
- Experience with HS Tariff product classification and maintaining supporting documentation/records
- Experience with CUSMA/USMCA Certification of products for Canadian and US Import Entries
- Comfortable communicating with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to resolve issues quickly
- Strong analytical capability (advanced Excel and Power BI) to monitor spend/KPIs and drive savings/compliance
- Experience with Lean / continuous improvement experience (kaizen, process mapping, standard work)

Salary $80,000 - $85,000
