The Second Judicial District is accepting internal and external applications for a full-time Court Operations Specialist within the Court Support Unit in the Criminal Division of Ramsey County District Court. Under the general supervision of a Court Operations Supervisor, this position will perform the full scope of varied clerical duties with primary focus on court support, case processing, provide courtroom support, and assist with training for the entire Criminal Division. Successful candidates must be able to travel and work onsite at other Ramsey County courthouse locations, including Maplewood and Kellogg Courthouses.
The position is based at the Ramsey County Courthouse, 15 West Kellogg BLVD, and is primarily on-site with potential opportunities for remote work depending on business needs; a reliable internet connection is required. The hours for this position will be 8:00am – 4:30pm.
This position is responsible for courtroom support within the Criminal Division and provides leadership within the criminal division, primarily supporting courtroom operations. Daily work includes providing work direction, training new and existing employees on courtroom procedures, reviewing clerical work for accuracy and compliance, and reporting to the supervisor on employee progress and performance. The position also works collaboratively with other Court Operations Specialists, Leadworkers and Court Operations Supervisors in the Criminal Division and has daily contact with the public, attorneys, advocates, judicial staff, partner agencies and other court stakeholders.
