The Operations Manager shall provide leadership and managerial direction for all projects to ensure projects are being managed and constructed in a safe and efficient manner. <\/span>

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/span><\/b>
<\/h1>

 <\/span>
<\/p>

  1. Communicate with Superintendent on a daily basis to review project requirements for personnel and equipment.
    <\/li> <\/ol>

     
    <\/p>

    1. Provide support, direction and guidelines for project operational issues to  <\/span>Superintendents and Foremen.
      <\/li> <\/ol>

       
      <\/p>

      1. Coordinate and schedule use of all construction equipment including outside rental equipment.
        <\/li> <\/ol>

         
        <\/p>

        4.     <\/span><\/span>Meet regularly with President to review project progress, schedules, budgets, costs, and specific issues.
        <\/p>

         
        <\/p>

        5.     <\/span><\/span>Maintain liaison with General Contractor and vendors and, if needed, assist in the resolution of all issues and problems.
        <\/p>

         
        <\/p>

        6.     <\/span><\/span>Assist in the development and resolution of construction claims for all projects.
        <\/p>

         
        <\/p>

        1. Assist Superintendents on short\-term schedules as required.
          <\/li> <\/ol>

           
          <\/p>

          1. Develop two\-week schedules for all projects\/crews to plan labor and equipment forces.
            <\/li> <\/ol>

             
            <\/p>

            1. Visit all construction sites “as needed” on a routine basis for:
              <\/li> <\/ol>

              ·       <\/span><\/span><\/span>Production evaluations
              <\/p>

              ·       <\/span><\/span><\/span>Discuss with Superintendent any projected schedule\/equipment and labor problems
              <\/p>

              ·       <\/span><\/span><\/span>Project housekeeping
              <\/p>

              ·       <\/span><\/span><\/span>Project Safety
              <\/p>

              ·       <\/span><\/span><\/span>Maintenance and care of equipment
              <\/p>

              ·       <\/span><\/span><\/span>Means and methods of construction
              <\/p>

              ·       <\/span><\/span><\/span>Quality of work
              <\/p>

              ·       <\/span><\/span><\/span>Accurate reporting of daily, weekly and monthly quantities
              <\/p>

               
              <\/p>

              1. Arrange for outside rental equipment as required.
                <\/li> <\/ol>

                 
                <\/p>

                1. Attend construction meetings with GC on a routine basis.
                  <\/li> <\/ol>

                   
                  <\/p>

                  1. Attend weekly toolbox meetings on a routine basis.
                    <\/li> <\/ol>

                     
                    <\/p>

                    1. Interface with salaried and hourly workers to communicate company issues, compliment exemplary work or effort and to address grievances as necessary.
                      <\/li> <\/ol>

                       
                      <\/p>

                      1. Attend preconstruction meetings.
                        <\/li> <\/ol>

                         
                        <\/p>

                        1. Annually review hourly construction workers for performance and rate adjustments.
                          <\/li> <\/ol>

                           
                          <\/p>

                          1. Assist with the implementation of Safety programs.
                            <\/li> <\/ol>

                             
                            <\/p>

                            1. Attend and promote daily huddles whenever possible.
                              <\/li> <\/ol>

                               
                              <\/p>

                              1. Review Superintendent and Foreman recordkeeping for conformance to company policies.
                                <\/li> <\/ol>

                                 
                                <\/p>

                                1. Interview and hire hourly employees as required by current backlog.
                                  <\/li> <\/ol>

                                   <\/span>
                                  <\/p>

                                  Qualifications:<\/b>
                                  <\/p>

                                   
                                  <\/p>

                                  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or construction\-related field<\/span>
                                    <\/li>
                                  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Heavy\/Civil Construction Industry<\/span>
                                    <\/li> <\/ul>

                                     <\/span>
                                    <\/p>

                                     
                                    <\/p>
