About this Role:
Consertus has an exciting opportunity in Los Angeles, CA for a detail-oriented Construction Logistics Specialist II (Communication Specialist) supporting complex infrastructure programs.
This role supports communication and engagement activities for complex infrastructure projects and works closely with a project team to assist with public-facing communications, stakeholder coordination, and outreach efforts across key phases of project delivery, including planning, design, preconstruction, and construction. The position focuses on executing established communication plans, supporting community engagement activities, and ensuring timely, accurate information is shared with external stakeholders, partners, and the public. This is a hands-on, collaborative role providing day-to-day support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and disseminate project-related communication materials including FAQs, fact sheets, presentations, advisories, construction notices, exhibits, and other project communications, ensuring consistency with approved messaging and branding standards.
- Support internal communications by coordinating dissemination through approved channels and ensuring accurate, timely information sharing among project teams, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Attend project meetings as needed to gather activity updates and translate complex technical or construction-related content into clear, accessible messaging for general audiences.
- Coordinate project logistics, schedules, deliveries, and scope execution, and support communication distribution throughout the program and to internal stakeholders.
- Verify project components and requirements (e.g., permit verification, notices/permissions, and project requirements).
- Verify contractors are delivering required documents per contract requirements, including phasing plans, site laydown plans, construction notices, and other logistics-related information.
- Support issue and inquiry management by tracking, monitoring, and reporting on public questions, complaints, and project-related concerns; escalate sensitive matters as appropriate.
- Assist with stakeholder engagement initiatives and maintain organized records of internal outreach communications activities.
- Provide logistics project information to the appropriate communications manager and regularly provide updates for publication and external outreach purposes.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Contractors to align logistics between projects and programs in coordination with Terminal Operations, Integrated Operations, Airfield Operations, Public Safety, and the Guest Experience team.
- Monitor construction activities across projects; track operational limitations, mitigate funneling points, and elevate issues for project teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate and report to global Construction Logistics Management to support collaboration with delivery support teams and project controls.
- Provide reporting to the Executive Team and Airport Development Executives.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in public or stakeholder communications, ideally supporting large-scale infrastructure, transportation, or civic projects.
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital platforms and tools (e.g., website CMS, email marketing, social media management, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience engaging with diverse communities, government agencies, and the media.
- Familiarity with public project lifecycles, phasing, and communication requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Planning, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional licensure or certifications in public relations or related fields.
- Superior working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
- Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., Benchmark) to distribute public advisories and notifications.
Working Hours & Location: Full-time, exempt role with standard business hours.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Work Arrangement: Onsite (Monday–Friday)

- Work Environment: Regular interaction with contractors, consultants, and community stakeholders is a core responsibility of this position. Occasional site visits and public event attendance may be necessary to support outreach activities or time-sensitive communications.
Compensation Range: $104,000 – $110,240 annually annually; Eligible for Bonus.
