About BHA Community Living:  BHA Community Living provides 24/7 residential support for individuals with developmental disabilities in structured, person-centered homes. The Operations Manager ensures these homes run safely, consistently, and in alignment with clinical and behavioral best practices—supporting both staff success and meaningful outcomes for individuals served. 


Position Summary:
The Community Living Operations Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring BHA’s 24/7 residential programs operate safely, effectively, and with a high standard of quality. This role serves as the critical link between the Vice President and Program Managers, translating organizational strategy into daily operational execution.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building strong systems, developing leaders, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across all homes. The Operations Manager drives operational excellence by improving staffing stability, compliance, documentation accuracy, and overall service quality while ensuring alignment with ABA-informed and trauma-informed practices.


What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct oversight and leadership to Program Managers across assigned residential homes
  • Ensure all homes operate safely, consistently, and in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Translate organizational strategy into clear operational systems, expectations, and execution plans
  • Monitor staffing, scheduling, training, and retention to ensure stable 24/7 coverage
  • Conduct field-based audits to ensure quality, safety, and compliance across all homes
  • Coach and develop Program Managers as leaders, holding them accountable for performance and outcomes
  • Partner with clinical, nursing, HR, maintenance, and scheduling teams to ensure coordinated support
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation, incident reporting, and audit readiness at all times
  • Support implementation of ABA-based programming and behavior support plans with fidelity
  • Identify operational risks and implement proactive solutions before issues escalate
  • Lead or support crisis response and on-call decision-making as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems related to staffing, training, compliance, and operations
  • Foster a culture of accountability, consistency, and person-centered care across all programs
  • Ensure financial responsibility through awareness of staffing costs, overtime, and operational efficiency

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in a related field
  • 5–7+ years of progressive leadership experience in residential, healthcare, behavioral health, or similar 24/7 operations
  • Experience leading supervisors or managers in high-accountability environments
  • Strong understanding of regulated care environments (HCBS, Medicaid, DMH preferred)
  • Proven ability to build systems, lead teams, and drive operational performance
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to stay calm and decisive under pressure
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with staffing, compliance, quality assurance, and risk management
  • Ability to interpret and support behavioral and clinical programming (ABA-informed preferred)
  • High level of accountability, follow-through, and emotional resilience
  • Proficiency with operational systems and Microsoft Office tools

Starting Salary: Our compensation is competitive within the market. The starting rate for this position begins at $82,118.40 annually, with your final offer based on a combination of your education, relevant experience, and overall qualifications.
