About the Role:

The Class 1 Driver/Mobile Crane Truck Operator plays a critical role in our business by ensuring the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of goods across various locations within British Columbia. This position requires operating heavy vehicles equipped with cranes to load, unload, and deliver merchandise to retail locations, construction sites, and customer homes. The driver must adhere to all transportation regulations and safety standards while maintaining timely delivery schedules to support the supply chain. Additionally, the role involves performing routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to guarantee operational reliability. Ultimately, the Class 1 Driver contributes to the seamless flow of products, enhancing customer satisfaction and supporting business growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record in Canada.
* Proven experience operating cranes in a commercial or industrial setting.
* Knowledge of Canadian transportation laws and safety regulations.
* Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working within the retail trade industry or logistics sector.
* Certification in crane operation or related safety training programs.
* Familiarity with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
* Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities:

* Operate Class 1 commercial vehicles to transport retail goods safely and efficiently across designated routes.
* Utilize crane operation skills to load and unload heavy or bulky items at warehouses, retail stores, and distribution centers.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and report any mechanical issues promptly.
* Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
* Collaborate with warehouse staff and retail personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical challenges.

Daily use of driving skills ensures the timely and secure delivery of goods, requiring constant attention to road safety and vehicle control.
