As a Civil Engineer, you will be tasked with reviewing submissions of traffic design and construction considerations for the Highway Occupancy Permit (HOP) applications for low, medium, and high volume driveways in Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. Upon reviewing plans and calculations, you will provide a detailed memo of comments and recommendations to proceed with the project. You will also be responsible for investigating traffic and drainage problems, applying engineering analysis, recommending solutions, and preparing appropriate engineering reports. Excellent communication skills are vital, as you will be responding to customer service inquiries through telephone conversations, e-mails, office meetings, and field meetings with HOP applicants and designers. You will also ensure that customers are adequately informed of the need for correct procedures and standards for traffic and hydraulic designs.
