Job Summary:

Responsible for developing and executing category sourcing strategies that optimize total cost of ownership while ensuring high standards of quality and reliable supply. Leads procurement activities supporting commercialization and new product development, partnering cross-functionally to enable successful product launches. Oversees inventory management to balance availability with cost efficiency and drives a robust pipeline of savings initiatives to mitigate inflationary pressures and deliver continuous value improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to design category strategies that align with business objectives across cost, innovation, sustainability, quality, service, and safety.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive category sourcing plans that deliver value through strategic sourcing, design-to-value initiatives, and a strong pipeline of savings opportunities.

  • Own end-to-end supplier lifecycle management for assigned categories, including supplier selection, onboarding, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, risk mitigation, and exit management.

  • Partner with materials planning to optimize inventory levels, leading initiatives to align inventory performance with annual targets.

  • Oversee supplier forecasting and onboarding activities, including demand alignment, new item setup, and pricing /catalog implementation.

  • Manage monthly PPV reporting, delivering clear variance analysis, insights, and updated forecasts to support financial planning.

  • Lead procurement support for product lifecycle activities, including new product development (NPD), line extensions, product changes, refurbishments, and discontinuations.

  • Deliver structured procurement packaging responses through the IMB commercialization process, ensuring clear communication, cross-functional alignment, and ownership of outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement core and premium guardrails, proactively escalating for alignment and approvals where required.

  • Support design-to-value (DTV) initiatives by coordinating refurbishment efforts, facilitating collaboration with marketing, and enabling the introduction of new materials while minimizing packaging write-offs.

Qualifications:

  • College Diploma (Supply Chain/Procurement)

  • Minimum 6-8 years strategic sourcing and category management

Preferred:

  • University Designation (Business, Economics and/or Supply Chain)

  • 10+ years strategic sourcing / category management experience

  • CSCMP or equivalent designation

Compensation: Budgeted Range – $101,355.00 - $131,165.00 The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
