Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Outfitting and Configuration Specialist to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG)?Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Resident Inspection Office (RIO) in Mobile, AL.
Typical Responsibilities:
Prepare outfitting and configuration management materials (e.g. charts, briefs) for Project reviews and generate ad-hoc outfitting reports.
Participate in outfitting material aboard the cutter.
Participate in Physical Configuration Audits (PCA).
Attend meetings in relation to assigned tasks as designated by the COR.
Prepare and provide presentations for outfitting and PCA status.
This position requires eligibility for a Secret security clearance, to be obtained after hire. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance; therefore, only current U.S. citizens will be considered for this position.
Physical Job Requirements
Mix of desk/computer work in an office environment and periodic visits to waterfront/shipboard environments. May involve repetitive motion, traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches) or vision.
Education/Certification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a business field or related technical/business field.
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be considered.
At least three (3) years of relevant experience supporting logistics or configuration and shipbuilding processes.
Comprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes such as:
Technical Assessment Review (TAR).
Proposal development.
Equipment life cycle cost.
Logistics life cycle sustainment.
Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) processes.
Outfitting/load out of ship.
Configuration Management.
Physical Configuration Audits.
Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to organize, plan, conduct, evaluate and administer the outfitting/configuration program.
Ability to produce reports, briefs, and presentations.
Experience with vessel outfitting, equipment validation, storeroom placements, VIN marking, product tracking, and logistic impacts.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook, as well as other software/tools provided on the Coast Guard Standard Workstation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
