Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Orders, receives, stores, and distributes drug products. Train others to perform responsibilities when absent. 
  • Responsible for the inventory control and inventories of all pharmaceuticals.
  • Periods of meeting deadlines with severe time constraints, often with multiple demands from several people. Interaction will occur with a wide range of people including, but not necessarily limited to, representatives of governmental agencies, accrediting organizations, patients, medical staff, hospital personnel, visitors, etc.
  • Work responsibilities will result in a range of activities, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently throughout working hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain operations
  • Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of drug nomenclature, dosage forms, and storage requirements

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a large acute-care medical center
  • 2+ years of pharmacy purchasing, inventory, or hospital pharmacy experience
  • Experience with GPO contracts and drug shortage management
  • Familiarity with DSCSA requirements and serialization processes
