Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 annually

As our next Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting operations by procuring direct and indirect goods and services at the best value. You’ll collaborate closely with suppliers and internal partners to ensure optimal pricing, quality, delivery, and service while contributing to cost‑reduction initiatives and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acting as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams for project, sample, and payment procurement
  • Maintaining updated pricing information, considering material and foreign exchange fluctuations
  • Obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations and preparing cost comparisons
  • Recommending suppliers and negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and service levels
  • Issuing purchase requisitions and converting them to purchase orders
  • Following up on orders to ensure on‑time delivery and expediting suppliers when required
  • Maintaining accurate purchased‑part data in ERP/EAM/CMS systems
  • Supporting supplier compliance documentation requirements
  • Managing blanket order schedules and confirming supplier acknowledgements
  • Tracking supplier performance, deficiencies, and delivery issues
  • Collaborating with Quality to resolve quality concerns and manage returned material credits
  • Supporting special projects, capital purchases, and ongoing cost‑reduction initiatives
  • Maintaining organized purchasing and supplier documentation
  • Supporting office supply and maintenance material purchasing
  • Ensuring compliance with all Quality and Environmental Health & Safety systems
  • Performing other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma required; post‑secondary technical education preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2–3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and purchasing processes
  • Proven negotiation, coordination, and supplier management skills
  • Experience with materials purchasing and ERP/MRP systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to evaluate technical requirements
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Clear, concise technical and business documentation skills
