About the Role
EFC International is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support our purchasing and supplier management operations. In this role, you will manage purchasing activities for assigned suppliers, ensure timely procurement of materials, and collaborate with internal teams to support customer and business needs. The Buyer plays an important role in maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring purchase orders, and supporting overall inventory and supply chain operations while making informed business decisions that support company goals.

What You’ll Do
As a Buyer at EFC International, you will maintain strong relationships with assigned suppliers and vendors while serving as the primary point of contact for purchasing activities. You will review purchase requisitions, determine the appropriate source of supply, and complete purchasing activities using daily buy reports.

This role involves entering supplier confirmations into SAP, maintaining accurate purchasing records, monitoring past-due purchase orders, and expediting orders when necessary to meet business demands. You will manage supplier pricing, lead times, quotes, and documentation while maintaining Material Master and Info Records in SAP for assigned products.

You will collaborate with internal teams, including sales, accounting, and operations, to resolve customer issues, invoicing discrepancies, and receiving discrepancies with suppliers. The position also supports logistics coordination such as drop shipments and expedited shipping when necessary.

Additional responsibilities include sourcing new suppliers, initiating requests for quotes, reviewing blueprints and quotes for accuracy, and supporting purchasing improvement and cost-reduction initiatives. The Buyer will also participate in inventory planning activities including demand forecasting and safety stock management, order PPAP documentation when required by Quality, research potential suppliers, and assist with special projects as assigned.

The role also requires the ability to analyze supplier data, pricing, and purchasing trends in order to make informed business decisions that support operational efficiency and cost management.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with additional education or training in supply chain, purchasing, or business preferred. Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain support, administrative operations, or a related field is beneficial.

The ideal candidate is able to read and interpret technical documents, supplier quotes, and business correspondence while demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Candidates should demonstrate strong negotiation skills when working with suppliers, along with the ability to think strategically about purchasing decisions and long-term supplier relationships. The ability to analyze information and make smart business decisions that align with company objectives is critical for success in this role.

Technical Skills
Candidates should have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred. The ability to maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation is critical to success in this role.
