The Buyer supports the Supply Chain team in the procurement of materials, parts, and services to ensure timely delivery at the right quality and cost.
Position Location: On-site, Benshaw, 615 Alpha Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238
Hours: Monday through Friday, 40 hours

Position Overview:

Hours: Monday through Friday, 40 hours
Job Responsibilities:
- Issue and manage purchase orders for assigned commodities in accordance with production schedules and inventory requirements
- Communicate with suppliers on order status, delivery dates, and any supply issues or discrepancies
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up to ensure on-time delivery
- Support supplier data entry and maintenance in IFS ERP system
- Assist in reviewing RFQ packages and gathering competitive quotes from approved suppliers
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including Planning, Engineering, and Receiving to resolve supply issues
- Help identify alternate suppliers or components when lead times are at risk
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Other duties as assigned
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 1+ year of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related administrative role preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to collaborate with team members and other departments
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong negotiation and sourcing skills
- Expert critical thinking skills
- Flexible and open to change
- Experience with MRP systems
