As a result of continuously growing our professional team, we have a challenging career opportunity for a Plant MRO/Steel Buyer in our Corporate Purchasing & Production Department. The candidate for this position will be responsible for the procurement of all Purchased parts and services for production for a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
We are recruiting for a vacant position
Hourly rate = $26 to $30 per hour
Responsibilities
- Procurement of maintenance and operating supplies from our vendors as required on a day to day basis, emphasizing on price, quality and delivery
- Responsible for following up on overdue or delinquent orders
- Responsible to sign and correct invoices, when pricing does not agree with the invoice and Purchase Order.
- Maintain an adequate stock level of maintenance material in stock cribs within the facility
- Perform regular cycle counts on purchased parts
- Experience with purchasing steel and/or purchased part is a definite asset
Requirements
- College diploma or University degree in Business Admin with a focus on supply chain or purchasing
- 1-3 years administrative experience in a purchasing role. Manufacturing or automotive environment is an asset.
- Must be bondable
- Demonstrate ability to work with large volumes of data and analyzing information
- Very detailed oriented and a high level of accuracy and thoroughness
- Proficient computer related skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and accurate data entry skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
