Description

As a JDI Supply Chain Buyer, you will work as part of a cross functional team with Project Engineering, Operations and Maintenance to support all aspects of our procure to pay process (P2P). 



Responsibilities
  • Procurement of goods and services via sourcing and negotiations
  • Negotiate all commercial (and in some cases technical) aspects of purchases
  • Provide purchase recommendations based on cost, quality, and delivery
  • Develop and implement contract strategies for facilities maintenance and services
  • Issuing and of RFPs and Purchase Orders to new/existing suppliers
  • Enable business leaders to make informed decisions by providing options and recommendations based on market data and analysis
  • Prioritization and ability to change tasks based on immediate rush requirements from site(s)
  • Negotiate/lead discussions for any post contract disputes
  • Opportunities to challenge yourself daily by making quick and creative decisions to meet requirements of the site in a fast-paced environment
  • Build, maintain and manage relationships with key vendors and customers
  • Daily/weekly management of divisional KPIs and initiatives
  • Identify and capture cost savings and opportunities to support reciprocal affiliate business
     


Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma
  • 2-5 Years of experience in a Procurement related field
  • Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
  • Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Self-Motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Engages interest and participation from others and has a collaborative approach
  • Ability to multitask while prioritizing workload and maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build good rapport with customers and suppliers
  • Post-Secondary Education or Diploma
