As a JDI Supply Chain Buyer, you will work as part of a cross functional team with Project Engineering, Operations and Maintenance to support all aspects of our procure to pay process (P2P).
Responsibilities
Procurement of goods and services via sourcing and negotiations
Negotiate all commercial (and in some cases technical) aspects of purchases
Provide purchase recommendations based on cost, quality, and delivery
Develop and implement contract strategies for facilities maintenance and services
Issuing and of RFPs and Purchase Orders to new/existing suppliers
Enable business leaders to make informed decisions by providing options and recommendations based on market data and analysis
Prioritization and ability to change tasks based on immediate rush requirements from site(s)
Negotiate/lead discussions for any post contract disputes
Opportunities to challenge yourself daily by making quick and creative decisions to meet requirements of the site in a fast-paced environment
Build, maintain and manage relationships with key vendors and customers
Daily/weekly management of divisional KPIs and initiatives
Identify and capture cost savings and opportunities to support reciprocal affiliate business
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma
2-5 Years of experience in a Procurement related field
Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills
Self-Motivated and able to work under pressure
Engages interest and participation from others and has a collaborative approach
Ability to multitask while prioritizing workload and maintaining a high attention to detail
Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build good rapport with customers and suppliers
