Pay Range: $22.50 - $25.00
The pay range is based on consideration of criteria such as required qualifications, experience, education and skills. Marquette Bank reserves the right to offer the selected applicant a salary commensurate with the applicant’s qualification, experience, education and skills.
Position Summary
The Branch Operations Flex Manager Officer is responsible for overseeing teller operations across multiple branches. This position ensures customers are served promptly and that the department balances at the end of each business day. The role requires utilizing knowledge and experience to exercise discretion and independent judgment, resolve problems, answer questions, and coordinate the implementation of Bank programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement and communicate corporate policies, programs, and objectives related to staffing, training, performance, promotions, and career development of staff members, ensuring a customer-focused and compliant team.
- Directly supervise teller and senior teller staff.
- Complete teller scheduling process.
- Approve teller transactions.
- Open and close the branch.
- Balance all aspects of branch operations, including cash, cash advances, vault, discipline, training, development, and staff motivation.
- Research and resolve teller differences.
- Perform employee evaluations for the teller department.
- Perform teller functions when not directly supervising.
- Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of teller staff and provide ongoing training and coaching.
- Actively comply with all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, and all other deposit, lending, or non-deposit service regulations; adhering to the Bank’s internal policies, procedures, and risk management responsibilities contained in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Code of Conduct, and other applicable policies.
- Conduct daily and weekly operations meetings with staff.
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings with Branch Sales Coordinator.
- Collaborate with Branch Sales Coordinator to ensure attainment of branch sales goals.
- Communicate, support, and participate in outbound sales events.
- Provide timely reports and accurate monitoring of relevant data.
- Perform job-related responsibilities that support departmental and organizational goals, consistent with the scope and purpose of the position.
Knowledge/Abilities/Experience and Training Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience providing teller work direction and banking experience
- High level of customer service skills
- Ability to remain current in product knowledge, Bank promotions, and system operations
- Versatile with excellent communication skills to interact with employees and customers
- Knowledge of all security procedures related to alarm systems and branch security
- Thorough knowledge of vault and ATM balancing
- Ability to inspire confidence, trust, and respect
- Willingness to further education in banking
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with thorough knowledge of teller and senior teller operations
