The Associate Vice President of Operations will have responsibility for establishing and directing the goals, policies and procedures for provided services. The AVP of Operations will report to the Senior Vice President of Operations and work closely with the divisional heads of finance, sales, IT, marketing, recruiting, and human resources to accomplish the goals and objectives established within the organization’s strategic plan and in cooperation with the Executive Leadership Team.
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Associate Vice President of Operations will be responsible for delivering quality services provided for Health Systems (across, front, mid and business office). The primary focus is to deliver high quality resources who can meet or exceed client requirements for productivity, compliance, and quality. This includes direct reports on quality and education; consulting; and management of the regional directors. The incumbent will ensure resources are aligned appropriately to support clients and hire key personnel to accomplish the company’s long-term goals. The AVP will provide direct leadership and management oversight in all areas of services that we can provide to a client (be it front end, mid cycle, and business office).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Industry expert in Acute Healthcare. Strong business and process orientation with a sufficient level of technical expertise in working with Health Systems.
Experience and exposure in managing large clients ($20-50M ACV) sized global operations, at scale.
Drive operational performance while managing expenses and delivering a high level of client satisfaction.
Pinpoint key operating metrics/value drivers and KPIs as it relates to revenue, margin and related metrics.
Drive client satisfaction and net promoter score.
Establish service levels including production and quality targets.
Ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
Drive employee engagement and retention within the teams.
Drive growth along with the dedicated division level client partner teams towards meeting and exceeding the budgeted revenue targets.
Review opportunities to cross-sell within the existing accounts thereby supporting clients with additional services.
Exposure to working on a contingency model with the ability to drive optimal outcomes for the client.
Partner with IT to continuously evaluate and implement technology, AI and automation to gain competitive advantage in the market, provide better reporting or improve operational efficiency.
Ability to use a variety of administrative skill sets and technical knowledge to manage policies, standards and procedures.
Manage the service function (front, middle and back office) in a viable and sustainable business manner.
Plan, organize, monitor and control projects ensuring the utilization of staff knowledge and skill sets, streamlined workflows and available technology to better achieve project objectives.
Perform duties in compliance with Company’s policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to HIPAA and compliance.

Skill in examining and re-engineering processes/workflows supporting business operations then leading an organization through change.
Ability to use tools, controls, techniques, established principals and standards to ascertain the quality, effectiveness, security and accuracy of the services provided.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and mentor staff.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least 8 years previous experience as an operations or Revenue Cycle senior leader with working knowledge of end-to-end services in Acute space or equivalent outsourcing experience.
Must have a strrong background in AR leadership or engagement experience (5+years) ideally specific to Acute Hospital and/or Academic Medical centers
Lean process design, development and deployment experience in Health System environment.
Expert in Acute Healthcare and services provided to Health Systems.
Exposure in managing services across front, middle and back office of the business.
Knowledge of Global operations and ability to lead large size teams.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a US based full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.
