The Associate Director of Supply Chain, Logistics & Operations Management leads end-to-end supply chain execution, logistics strategy, and operational performance management to ensure reliable product availability, cost efficiency, and strong service levels. This role owns key logistics operations (inbound/outbound supply transactions, warehousing, distribution), drives continuous improvement, and partners cross-functionally with Configuration Management, Forecasting, Service Delivery, and Business Management to deliver operational and financial outcomes.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Supply Chain, Logistics & Operations Leadership

  • Lead logistics and operations strategy across transportation, warehousing, distribution, and execution processes to meet service, cost, and quality targets.
  • Build and manage operating rhythms (daily/weekly/monthly performance reviews, exception management, escalation paths).
  • Translate business goals into actionable supply chain and operations programs, implementation roadmaps, and execution plans.
  • Establish operational governance, including KPI definitions, dashboards, standard reporting, and leadership targets

Operations Management (Added)

  • Own day-to-day operational performance for IT supply chain and logistics activities, ensuring consistent execution against SLAs and business priorities.
  • Develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), controls, and workflows across teams and vendors.
  • Lead incident/issue management for supply and logistics constraints (e.g., shortages, delays, damaged goods), including root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution for launches, migrations, refresh cycles, and surge events; ensure readiness plans and runbooks are in place.
  • Drive operational compliance (audit readiness, asset handling requirements, security practices, chain-of-custody as applicable).

Transportation & Distribution Management

  • Oversee inbound and outbound supply transactions to meet business goals efficiently.
  • Establish and monitor OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance and delivery lead times.
  • Develop contingency plans for disruptions (capacity constraints, weather events, port delays).

Warehouse / 3PL Operations

  • Manage warehouse network performance, including receiving, storage, picking/packing, shipping, and inventory accuracy.
  • Own 3PL selection, onboarding, governance, and performance management (SLAs, KPIs, scorecards, QBRs).
  • Drive safety, compliance, and operational best practices across sites.

Inventory & Service Level Optimization

  • Partner with Planning to align inventory targets (safety stock, reorder points) with service level commitments.
  • Reduce shrink, obsolescence, and excess/aged inventory through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Improve forecast-to-fulfillment performance through stronger controls and data-driven decisions.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Lead Lean/Six Sigma-style continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost-to-serve and cycle times.
  • Enhance visibility and execution through WMS/TMS/ERP improvements, reporting automation, and master data governance.
  • Implement standard operating procedures and training to ensure consistent execution.

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Own logistics forecasting; identify and deliver savings initiatives and productivity gains.
  • Track and report cost savings initiatives and revenue generation.

People Management

  • Lead and develop a team of logistics/supply chain/operations professionals; set clear goals and performance expectations.
  • Create scalable org structures and succession plans to support growth.                                  

Required Clearance:

TS/SCI with poly (#tssci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (any field) plus 3+ years of experience in Operations, Process Improvement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Asset Management; or
  • Associate’s degree plus 5+ years of experience in Operations, Process Improvement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Asset Management; or
  • High school diploma/GED plus 10+ years of progressive experience in Operations, Process Improvement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Asset Management.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, inventory management, distribution network design/operations, and customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver measurable operational and financial results.
  • Strong IMS and database management skills.

Preferred Experience / Knowledge

  • Multi-site distribution operations and network optimization.
  • IC Client policy and regulations.
  • IC Community managed service contracts.
  • ServiceNow.

Our Associate Director, IT Supply Chain, Logistics & Operations earn between $98,100 - $150,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
