Reports to: Director of Procurement

Works closely with: All members of Procurement, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, Pre-Construction Teams and vendors


Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage orders for materials, equipment, tools and consumables against Project Schedules
  • Verify Lead Times and ensure timely delivery to job sites
  • Manage Document Storage Platform
  • Assist Buyers with issuing RFQ’s, Receipt of Bids, Review Bids
  • Assist Buyers with Analyzing and qualifying proposals from suppliers
  • Assist Buyers with maintaining various Project Trackers
  • Attend Project Meetings to provide input on order status
  • Assure contracts include all Project related documentation

Other Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate alignment with our unique corporate culture, as codified by our Core Principles
  • Assist pre-construction team with the identification and evaluation of potential vendors, assuring they meet all owner requirements and expectations
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors
  • Assist Buyers in Creating change/purchase orders for projects
  • Assist Buyers with “hand over” process of all contracts to the projects team
  • Travel is required on occasion. (ex: site visits, vendor visits, among other things)

Key Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong writing skills (technical or other writing experience)
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate with various members of the organization and supply chain
  • Understanding of the construction project management process
  • Basic knowledge of contract terminology
  • Basic negotiating skills: Ability to influence others
  • Problem Solving: Ability to think outside of the box to provide value added solutions. Ability to gather information and make recommendations
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Driven, self-motivated and organized.
  • Construction scheduling knowledge
  • Understanding of contract scopes
  • MS Office skills, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word
