Job Summary

Assistant Buyer’s role is to gain an understanding of the video and audio landscape and negotiation process. This includes marketplace trends and a holistic top-line view of all video and audio platforms including AM/FM radio, digital audio, linear television and connected TV.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Assist Activation team with day-to-day administrative duties.

  • Responsible for post log conversion and post reporting analytics.
  • Responsibilities include ordering & confirming orders, handling makegoods, monitoring placement of scheduled spots, maintaining added value and billing reconciliation.
  • Learn & understand media terminology
  • Review & understand buying guideline (goals & objectives) with buyer
  • Implement work-related goals established by buyer/brand team on behalf of clients
  • Establish & maintain business relationships with vendor partners
  • Maintain accurate buy files with financial information to align with buying system
  • Assume buying responsibilities from pre-buy to post buy in small markets/on accounts.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • 4 year college degree
  • Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint and Strata View & SBMS
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, good communication skills, ability to recognize problems & identify solutions, willingness to learn & grow
