Health Services - Paramedic Services  

 

Status: 2 Regular Full Time

Hire Range: $81,977- $92,225 per annum, plus comprehensive benefits

Work Mode: On-Site 

Location: 1600 Bovaird Dr E, Brampton, ON

Hours of work: 35 hours per week

What you will do in this role:

  • Provide inventory control across PRPS, Corporate Logistics and other Regional programs by analyzing forecasts and usage to establish safety stock and reorder levels.
  • Develop and monitor equipment inventory and maintenance.
  • Schedule equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Develop inventory controls, reports, KPIs and dashboards to monitor accuracy, cost, stock availability, usage and expiry risk.
  • Monitor work flow processes and make recommendations to improve the Section’s operational efficiencies and customer service.
  • Develop product and equipment specifications through collaboration with clients and other stakeholders in preparation for tender/contract, purchase order development and implementation by the Supervisor.
  • Develop operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage (blanket order) contracts to ensure adequate funds and contracts are available and renewals are processed in a timely manner. Develop RFx with Purchasing Associate or for lower-valued contracts.
  • Analyze supply and utilization trends to maintain continuity, optimize stock, reduce expiry and waste, and identify excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Support inventory audits, reconcile physical and system records, investigate deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct research using knowledge gained from multiple sources and analyze findings in order to provide recommendations and advice to Management.
  • Establish contracts for blanket orders or one-time purchases including creating procurement awards and submission of purchase requisitions and vendor satisfaction surveys to commence contract renewals.
  • Create and distribute Requests for Quotation and Express Purchase Orders as required. 

What the role requires: 

  • College diploma in business or supply chain management discipline
  • Minimum two years direct experience in inventory control/materials management
  • Working knowledge of project management processes using the Project Management Institute’s Body of Knowledge or related experience
  • Experience in set-up of benchmarks and data collection, analyzing data and writing reports to make recommendations
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI or similar reporting experience, including inventory systems such as Operative IQ (OPIQ) or comparable platforms; SAP/ERP exposure is an asset
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Class G license in good standing and access to own transportation to travel between PRPS sites and to vendor locations
