This position is temporary and will start on 5/18/26 and is anticipated to end on 7/17/26 

 

60 work days probation for new employees

 

Rate of pay:  $31.51 - $36.17

The job of Warehouse/Food Delivery is done for the purpose/s of pulling and loading orders for delivery; ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; ensuring safe operation of vehicles; and maintaining an organized layout and safe work environment.

 

This job reports to Maintenance Supervisor

 

Essential Functions

  • Conducts and participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
  • Drives vehicles (e.g. truck, van, forklift, etc.) for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites.
  • Loads and unloads delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport.
  • Maintains various files and records (e.g. loss expenditures, history of utilization schedules, calendars, requisitions, MSDS tests, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, and providing materials and reliable resource information.
  • Orders equipment and supplies (e.g. tape, pens, paper, staples, custodial supplies, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
  • Prepares orders by pulling from stock for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements.
  • Processes report requests, documents, deliveries and/or materials for the purpose of disseminating information and/or materials to appropriate parties.
  • Receives stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct.  
  • Responds to inquiries for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the invoices, billing, status of deliveries i.e. monitors warehouse budget.
  • Stocks equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining required inventory levels. 
  • Transports a variety of items (e.g. food items, records/files, supplies, equipment, materials, etc.) for the purpose of receiving and/or delivering materials as required.
  • Unloads stock and non-stock items for the purpose of distributing shipments to assigned site locations and/or individuals. 

 

Other Functions

  • Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.

     Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 

 

SKILLS are required to perform single technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.  Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adhering to safety practices; handling hazardous materials; planning and managing projects; operating standard office equipment; using pertinent software applications; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.

 

KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems.  Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: accounting/bookkeeping principles; safety practices and procedures; food safe storage and handling procedures.

 

ABILITY is required to schedule activities; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use basic job-related equipment.  Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined and similar processes; and operate equipment using a variety of processes.  Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with data of varied types and/or purposes; and utilize job-related equipment.  In working with others, problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans.  Problem solving with data requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited to moderate.  Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the function of the job include: working with detailed information/data; adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; and working as part of a team. 

Responsibility

Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; directing other persons within a small work unit; and tracking budget expenditures.  Utilization of some resources from other work units is often required to perform the job’s functions.  There is a continual opportunity to impact the Organization’s services.  

Working Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.  Generally the job requires 40% sitting, 50% walking, and 10% standing.  The job is performed under some temperature extremes and some hazardous conditions. 

 

Experience Job related experience is desired.

Education High School diploma or equivalent.
